I remember in June of 2001 sitting at one of my favorite coffee spots on the corner of 18th and Hawthorne in Portland, Oregon spying a beautiful woman being taken for a walk by her small dog. The woman had a dark bob haircut with a bright red shirt and her dog was shin high with a ruckus brindle color. I remember saying to myself, “That girl is beautiful but I could never date a woman with a small dog like that”. Not only did I date THAT woman, but I married her (and her dog Darla too). Darla was magic and she had some kind of hand (paw) in bringing @lisadejohn and I together. She was small but always had big ideas. Thank you Biggie Smalls! We miss you!
